Gen. Hayden confirmed to lead CIA

All the opposition to General Hayden being appointed to lead the CIA seemed to have faded away over the past few weeks and, today, the Senate confirmed his appointment.

Gen. Hayden is eminently qualified to lead the agency. He will face many challenges and I hope that he will showcase independent thought and independence from the Pentagon.
